A Little background on the Polkadog Bakery, which was started in Boston, MA. The Owners found a stray outside of San Juan Puerto. They named her Pearl. Pearl only had one eye, and would dance her head from side to side when she met people, and did a little dance that was kind of like the Polka. Because Pearl had such a hard start to life, she needed extra nurturing, and her owners started baking her gourmet treats. Soon, the polka dog bakery was born.
Here at Pet Pantry Provisions, we’re pleased to announce our new grain free “buy the ounce” treats selection area, where we carry polka dog grain free treats and jerkys. Our customers have a couple of favorites…..
Polka Dog Chicken Jerky
The Chicken Jerky Treats have a huge following here at the store. We all know there are lots of chicken jerky treats on the market. What we like best about the Polka Dog chicken jerky, is that they only use chickens born and bred in the USA. No outsourcing for Polka Dog – all their birds are bought fresh, as they need them, and each batch of Chicken Jerky is made by hand, dehydrating it slowly over a couple of days to make sure all the goodness stays where it belongs.
Cod Skins Dog Treats
We haven’t had a dog yet turn down a sample of these Cod Skins! The folks at Polka Dog were trying to come up with a new treat. Because they’re from Boston, known for its great fishing, they contacted local fishermen who used to throw cod skins away, once the fish was processed. So, now these skins are dehydrated at the Polka Dog Factory, and hand-twisted into unique shapes. Our customer’s dogs simply love these treats.
The Cod Skins Dog treats are also a great treat for dogs that have allergies to Lamb, Beef and Chicken, and are filled with Omega-3 fatty acids.
Chicken and Duck Sfizis
These treats are baked daily at Polka Dog. These tiny treats are made from all-natural US chicken or duck, potato and rice. Dogs love the light, airy crunch of these treats
We also carry Go Fish, Lucky Duck and Chicken Little treats that are cookies in the shape of a bone. They are super crunchy and a nice size for any dog.
